San Diego Chapter – SANPATA
The San Diego Chapter of the Pacific Asia Travel Association (SANPATA) was formed in 1979 and consists of travel industry professionals who are passionate about travel to various destinations in the Pacific Asia region. SANPATA concentrates on educating its Travel Agent members on this region through educational seminars, events and workshops with our top suppliers. See our Events Page for our upcoming events.
Founded in 1951, the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) is a not-for profit association that is internationally acclaimed for acting as a catalyst for the responsible development of travel and tourism to, from and within the Asia Pacific region. The Association provides aligned advocacy, insightful research and innovative events to its member organizations, comprising 97 government, state and city tourism bodies, 27 international airlines, airports and cruise lines, 63 educational institutions, and hundreds of travel industry companies in Asia Pacific and beyond.

Membership in SANPATA is open to anyone who works in the Travel and Tourism Industry or a related field and “who sells and/or promotes travel” to the Pacific Asia region.
As a member of SANPATA you are eligible to attend all SANPATA sponsored events at the discounted member rate. This includes Monthly or Bi-monthly Destinational Programs, Educationals, Out-of-Country Workshops and Special Events including drawings for travel and more.
