Travel professionals who complete the course receive perks and a chance to win a cruise
Seattle, Wash., Aug. 8, 2016 – Holland America Line has launched a series of new Holland America Line Academy Specialist Training Courses for travel professionals that provides comprehensive tools for agents selling the company’s premium cruises. The first course to debut is “Alaska and the Yukon: The Great Land = Great Sales for You,” which is now available on the PartnerSHIPS portal at GoHAL.com or halacademy.com. Travel partners who complete the course by Nov. 18, 2016, automatically are entered into a sweepstakes for a chance to win an Alaska cruise for two in a verandah stateroom.
The informative and fast-paced “Alaska and the Yukon: The Great Land = Great Sales for You” course takes 15 to 20 minutes to complete and includes information about the places Holland America Line’s Land+Sea Journeys visit, activities offered by the cruise line onboard and ashore, ways clients can discover The Great Land, prime clients to target for Land+Sea Journeys, and sales strategies to increase profits from every Holland America Line Alaska booking. The presentation takes travel professionals through the benefits and features of newly opened Denali Square and other enhancements to the Land+Sea Journeys.
“More than 18,000 travel partners have completed the Holland America Line Academy core course, and now the specialist courses will give agents targeted tools and knowledge they can use to grow their businesses,” said Denella Ri’chard, Holland America Line’s senior director, trade communications and engagement, who oversaw the creation of the new training courses. “More of these fun and interactive courses are coming for additional destinations, and we encourage all of our travel partners to take advantage of this series.”
The HAL Academy Specialist Training Courses were developed in collaboration with industry training expert Dr. Marc Mancini. They are designed to offer learning through a combination of video instruction, reading and interaction. Travel professionals taking the course have access to insider information with helpful insights as well as downloadable marketing e-tools, including Holland America Line’s award-winning Alaska App.
By completing the course, travel professionals earn training credits with Cruise Lines International Association, The Travel Institute (U.S. travel professionals) and the Association of Canadian Travel Agencies (Canadian travel professionals). Participating partners also receive an “Alaska & the Yukon Expert” logo and an online personalized certificate. Holland America Line Celebrates 70 Years as First in Alaska in 2017
